Elevate Women 2023

Honouring Canadian Women’s History Month and Persons Day

Held on on Parliament Hill, The Elevate Women National Conference will bring together women leaders, champions and allies who are passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion, and creating new leadership opportunities for women from every walk of life.

The event is organized by Elevate International with the support of government and many partners that include RBC, The University of Ottawa, The Foundation WCPD, Deloitte, Invest Ottawa, amongst many. With the support of committed partners, we look forward to creating a powerfully elevating experience that attracts stakeholders from across our region, and throughout the country.

Our Goal: is to continue advancing the leadership and economic empowerment of women into collective action. Together, we inspire and equip more Canadian women to pursue leadership roles; empower a truly diverse and inclusive workforce, and help more aspiring leaders to advance with their full potential.

GO BEYOND.

This year’s theme is Elevate Women - Go Beyond. To adjust to today’s reality and create meaningful and sustainable change Leaders and organizations will have to go beyond common practices, to amplify, retain and elevate women leaders and the assets their leadership brings.

As you know, women continue to be dramatically underrepresented in leadership roles. The “broken rung” has held women back for years, resulting in fewer women rising through the ranks. But Today, organizations have a new pipeline problem— they are struggling to hold on to the relatively few women leaders they have, especially women of color. Making the stakes even higher than ever for organizations that want to achieve gender equality.

This year’s theme is Elevate Women - Go Beyond. To adjust to this new reality, creating meaningful and sustainable change will require a mindset shift. Leaders and organizations will have to go beyond common practices, to amplify, retain and elevate women leaders and the assets their leadership brings. Tweaking old policies and practices will not be enough; in order to successfully advance equity, equality, inclusion and diversity in leadership will require a fundamental rethink of how work is done.

This event is designed to empower the workforce through education and the advancement of inclusive, responsible and effective leadership.
